Visiting our son who lives in California. We are from Ottawa, Canada. We visited this diner by chance and had a wonderful experience. The owner, Moussa (sp?), was so kind and funny. He engaged with us and we chatted about life. Lovely man, great food and a delightful experience. Would highly recommend.
It was a very busy Saturday night which I was glad to see for them. My three-person order only took 15 minutes out the door and everybody was very pleasant and efficient. Two burgs and a chicken chutney salad. All were excellent. Thankful for the Niman beef offering.
Best aloha burger I’ve ever had. Was looking to find a good local spot to eat and I would recommend this place 10/10. Juicy meat not frozen garbage other burger places sell. I’ll be back.
This is the second and last review I will ever write. D's was the literal crown jewel of the day after an amazing, yet exhausting, river float. We got in the car and everyone knew that the only way to finish the day was with a big, juicy hamburger and a thick stack of fries, and boy oh boy did D's deliver; It was juicy, it was fresh, the tomato was perfectly ripe, and my onion rings were crispy and hot, there were good options for vegetarian group members, not to mention there were seven of us stomping in for our burgers and fries and the staff was so welcoming and patient. Thank you D's for the perfect dinner, we will be seeing you again!!
Very sweet owner who takes pride in his family-owned business in Sebastopol. I appreciated his warmth and hospitality, even gifting us some babaganoush (delicious!). A wonderful little diner, I hope it’s around for a long time.
This place is no nonsense good food. Excellent fries! And I am a fry connoisseur. We had both the garlic and the sweet potato fries. Divine. They gave us a mustard side sauce. I usually don't like mustard but this was delicious! Fantastic burgers! My husband got the caliente burger and I had the patty melt burger on rye. Absolutely delicious!! The baclava is probably some of the best baklava I've had. The folks running it are incredibly nice. Very down to earth. Definitely coming here again.
Musa is the consummate host. He makes your visit to D’s like coming to supper at your favorite uncle’s. He is a kind and generous man. I ordered a custom omelette with his special Caliente sauce, a concoction that is bright, creamy, and especially picante. The coffee is as good as any barista’s. It isn’t the average American style. He gets the beans locally and makes each self-serve carafe with care and love. Enjoy liberally! The vibe is terrific - it is a perfectly maintained 50s diner, with 3-1/2 inside booths, bar seating along the windows, and plenty of covered outdoor picnic tables. I’m sitting in one of the full booths. I’m here for breakfast, and there are people coming in for pickup orders, some ordering milkshakes, everyone seems genuinely pleased to stop in. The menu rocks - much/most is American style, and there’s a great middle eastern selection as well. He sampled me some of his fresh-made hummus - goes great on my breakfast potatoes! And yes, this is the D’s Diner of Les Claypool’s song.
Great place for everyone at anytime of day!! I usually come and get breakfast, during lunch! The Pancakes are so yummy and fluffy. The eggs and toast are on point! When I get lunch, I go for the Garden Veggie burger. Fresh produce, great fluffy bun, perfectly cooked patty. Very good portion. Another GREAT part of this place is that it’s family run and the Family is Sooo nice and accommodating! They welcome me and my dog with big smiles and remember my order! I highly recommend this place!!
